Great Bend Center for Music’s HighKey Kids™ online classes provide the tools and learning activities that help kids identify their innate musical strengths and explore their individual musical and audio interests. For an overview of the program, click here to learn more and to watch a short video with highlights from class and an introduction to teachers and classes.
Our new a la carte classes are a bite-sized way for students to take our most popular subjects in a one-time class: Video Game Music and Beats & Loops (Digital Audio Production). Taught by Great Bend teaching artist Andy Jarema, these live, online classes are an affordable and approachable way for kids in grades 4–12 to pick up digital audio skills and software knowledge in a small and friendly environment.
From Mario to Minecraft, students will dive into the world of video game music with activities centered on music history, music listening, and music composition. Students will learn about the 50-year timeline of video game music and the background of major composers and musicians working in the genre.
A la carte classes are held one-time and last one hour.
Upcoming a la carte Video Game Music class:
- Thursday, 4–5 PM (Pacific), March 31
