HighKey Kids™ Beats & Loops (Digital Audio Production)

A four week class exploring the best practices of digital audio production through the joy of creating beats & loops.

Class description:

Great Bend Center for Music’s HighKey Kids™  online classes provide the tools and learning activities that help kids identify their innate musical strengths and explore their individual musical and audio interests.  For an overview of the program, click here to learn more and to watch a short video with highlights from class and an introduction to teachers and classes.

Taught by Great Bend teaching artist Andy Jarema, Beats and Loops will explore software basics and best practices of digital audio production through whole-class activities, collaborative projects, and individual creative pursuits in a small and friendly environment.

 

Schedule:

Classes are 45 minutes long and held once a week during a four-week term in Spring, Winter, and Fall.

Beats & Loops (Digital Audio Production) Fall Term Schedule: 

  • Tuesdays at 4 PM Pacific (7 PM Eastern), October 11 – November 8

Class requirements:

Participation requires a tablet or laptop with Google Chrome and a reliable internet connection. Parents or guardians may periodically need to be responsible for a small amount of support with respect to installing a handful of necessary (free) apps and/or creating accounts for learners within our (secure) online learning management system.
