HighKey Kids™ Found Sound Adventure Camp

Join Great Bend Teaching Artist Andy Jarema on a ‘found sound’ digital audio adventure!

About HighKey Kids™ Found Sound Adventure Camp:

$250

Join Great Bend Teaching Artist Andy Jarema for an in-person ‘found sound’ digital audio adventure! Campers will meet at Faith Lutheran Church and depart to different acoustic environments in Mason County in order to capture an array of curated audio samples for use in music, videos, podcasts and more. They’ll return having sampled everything from bird song in the Salmon Center estuary to the machinery and booming acoustic of the Sierra Pacific mill in downtown Shelton, all while examining and discussing the role that music and sound play in television, movies, podcasts, news shows and more.

Add-on:

Digital Audio Production Lab Afternoon Session

This optional add-on session (1–4pm) will run as a digital audio production lab for mentored individual work alongside additional listening activities, tutorials on specific digital audio production skills and techniques, and group collaboration. The optional afternoon Digital Audio Production Lab will be held from 1–4pm.
