Seattle’s jazz scene comes to Mason County!

We’re lucky to have the best Hot Club group in the country right here in the Pacific Northwest.

Think about the concept of “French romance” and images of 1920s Paris likely spring to mind: charming streets filled with cafés and pastry shops with the sound of a lone accordion playing a lilting melody in the background.

Now spice that accordion up just a bit by adding a violin, soft electric guitar, a string bass and some swinging rhythms, and you have something that’s not only the perfect soundtrack for everything from a gathering of friends to a first date; but something you can dance to as well.

That’s Hot Club Jazz — it raises the temperature and boosts the flavor of an evening without changing the mood or ever getting carried away. It’s the very essence of smart, sexy and sophisticated, and we’re really lucky to have the best Hot Club group in the country right here in the Pacific Northwest.

A regular headliner at Dimitrios’ Jazz Alley, Pearl Django has performed at festivals, dances and nightspots around the world (including the prestigious Festival Django Reinhardt in Samois sur Seine) and have even been featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered.”

And this month, they’re coming to Mason County.

Don’t miss your chance to hear one of the greatest Hot Club ensembles in the world, right in our own backyard, along with an amazing meal by celebrity chef Xinh Dwelley, brews and cocktails by Potlatch Brewing, High Steel Beer and The Hardware Distillery, all in the beautiful Barn at the Hood Canal Salmon Center in Belfair, Saturday, August 27.

Sponsored by Mason Health and Sierra Pacific Industries, this special evening with Pearl Django will support Great Bend Center for Music’s work to build strong families, successful kids, healthy seniors, and a strong economy — and will be crazy fun!

Seating is limited — grab your tickets today!
